Rotary Youth Exchange

Murray & youth exchange students 2012For many years, our club ran Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) for the top half of the South Island, placing local students with overseas Rotary clubs and host families and welcoming foreign students to our communities. This is a life-changing experience for these young people and we are always impressed by how much they change in 12 months. Our club is still interested in sponsoring and hosting students, so if you are a student aged 16-18 and are interested in a year overseas, or if you are a family willing to host a foreign student, please contact us. Read about the students we are hosting in 2016. Rotary also has a Matched Student Exchange programme with Australia that involves 3 months away and 3 months hosting an Australian student.
